I first used an ‘home computer’ back in November 1982. It was so fantastic that I was hooked immediately. This computer was a ZX81 and it was amongst several in a computer club set up at my school of the time.
I was so hooked that I went out and bought myself a computer magazine to learn more and picked what was then the very substantial tome of Personal Computer World. In fact, the very one that is shown below:
Between my brother and I, we persuaded my Mother that we needed a computer and it duly came as the big present between us that Christmas. We got ourselves a Commodore VIC-20 and the rest is history. Here I am a little over 25 years later, ostensibly having made my career around this instant hobby.
