Fixed and mobile broadband providers have a chequered history with claims about their services. This service is more reliable, that service is the fastest… but the worst thing they have done was describe services with data transfer limits as being unlimited. Finally it seems someone has admitted how much of a stupid decision it was…
The Hermes Project: Three drops unlimited claim.
I am all for having reliable and well maintained networks and have no specific problems with limits as long as they are clear and as long as there are options to obtain services with higher limits… the power user option.
Now everyone should drop ‘unlimited’ claims unless they truly are unlimited.
‘Nuff said.
