I saw this from Merlin Mann’s site 43Folders. It is an extract from information from another site but it is very inciteful about how to understand technologically gifted persons and how they interact with others. I am sure that it could be described in more airy fairy words, but this gets to the point in the picture.

Technologist filter on incoming information – thick skins and socially inept

Others filter on outgoing information – socially adept and easily offended

These are extremes of course.
